Take a Tour Behind the Seams of Safeco Field!
March 3, 2016
Behind-the-scenes tours are offered daily during baseball season (unless a game that day starts before 6pm), and every day except Monday in the off-season. Check the Safeco Field Tours website for more specific tour times.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a Mariner? How does it feel to run out on the field and see the stands above you? What’s it like to sit in the dugout? What’s the view like from behind home plate?
All these questions and more can be answered on the “Behind-the-Seams” tour of Safeco Field, the home of the Seattle Mariners. On a public tour, visitors will see how Safeco is run and what the players experience on game days. You can walk out along the sidelines of the field, sit in the Mariner’s dugout, and see the visitor’s suites and locker rooms, among much more. Next, you can look out from the press and suite levels of Safeco, where you would be sitting if you were a newspaper reporter or if you rent a luxury box for one of the games. You can also visit the media room, where Mariners and their representatives make press releases, like if there is a new player coming to the Mariners or if someone is retiring. The tour really gives a new perspective on what it’s like to be a part of the Mariners team.
If the public tour isn’t enough for you, you can sign up for a private tour or event. These can range from team-building to birthday parties to weddings! You can also add on fun activities, like using the Mariners indoor batting cage, running the bases, adding lunch or a reception, and even meeting the Mariner Moose!
We’d highly recommend taking the Safeco Field Ballpark Tour!
