Rider Alert: Sound Transit 1 Line Service Disruption
Alternate Routes to Seattle Center Monorail
Due to damage in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel, Sound Transit 1 Line trains are single tracking between Capitol Hill Station & Stadium Station until further notice.
Trains are running every 35 to 40 minutes from Capitol Hill Station to Int’l Dist/Chinatown Station.
Access to Seattle Center Monorail’s Westlake Station via the 1 Line will be delayed, therefore, bus routes with stops near the Monorail’s Westlake Station (5th and Pine) are recommended and are listed below. We’ve also included some direct routes that serve Seattle Center/Uptown.
Please note that this does not effect Seattle Center Monorail service between Seattle Center and Westlake Center.
From South:
- King County Metro #36 (Othello Station/Beacon Hill/Chinatown/ID) → Exit at 3rd & Pike → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
- King County Metro #124 (Tukwila Internat’l Blvd Station/Georgetown) → Exit at 3rd & Union → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
- King County Metro #3/4 (Judkins Park/Madrona/Seattle U) → Seattle Center
- King County Metro #101 (Fairwood, Renton) → Exit at 4th & Union → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
- King County Metro #150 (Southcenter/Tukwila) → Exit at 4th and Union → Monorail (5th and Pine) to Seattle Center
- Sound Transit Express Route 590/594 (Tacoma) → Exit at 4th & Stewart → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
From Capitol Hill:
- King County Metro #8 (Mount Baker/Central District) → Seattle Center
- King County Metro #10, 11 (Capitol Hill) → Exit at 4th & Pine → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
- King County Metro #49 (U District/Broadway) → Exit at 4th & Pine → Monorail (5th & Pine) to Seattle Center
From North:
- RapidRide D Line (Crown Hill/Ballard/Interbay) →Uptown
