The MoPOP is dedicated to popular culture and using their collections, programs, and interactive technology to both educate and engage visitors of all ages. Open daily from 10am-7pm.
Check out the Jim Henson Exhibition, Imagination Unlimited, at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) now through the end of 2017! Organized by the Museum of Moving Image in New York, where a permanent Jim Henson exhibit opens in July.
After walking through a fuzzy entryway, we first ran into Kermit the Frog, a muppet classic! We later saw Bert, Ernie, Count von Count, and other muppets, too.
We loved learning about Jim Henson’s contribution to television and his impact on popular culture! Video clips and other artifacts from Henson’s career give us a look into his creative mind behind The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and other puppet classics. Through scripts, storyboards, sketches, and props, Henson and his team really brought these puppets to life!

Visitors also learn about Henson’s films and other projects such as Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, and more! For interactive experiences, visitors can design a muppet or try puppeteering on camera!
One of our favorite pieces is the wall of muppet video snippets featuring many of their guests!
