Interior Panel Installation (Download RFP, Download fillableWord doc of Form)

Seattle Monorail Services (SMS) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide labor to install new interiors in the Red Train starting in December 2009/January 2010.  Firms should have finish carpentry experience.  Familiarity with transit grade materials is desirable. 

Disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to respond.

Copper-headed Rail Salvage (Download RFP)

Seattle Monorail Services (SMS) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to purchase salvage copper-headed steel power rail, cast iron and porcelain insulators, and associated hardware. Purchaser shall provide suitable, secure containers for the materials and transport the containers from the Seattle Center.

Disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to respond.

Minor Sheet Metal Repairs (Download RFP, Download fillableWord doc of Form)

Seattle Monorail Services (SMS) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to perform minor repairs to the sheetmetal carbody of the Red Train. Included in this project scope is repair to cracks in aluminum sheetmetal skin, window corners, and door post structure. Interested firms should be experienced in FAA approved practices for general aviation aluminum aircraft structural repairs such as sheetmetal patching, rivet layout pattern, spacing, pitch, and rivet sizing.

Work is expected to begin in December 2009 and be completed in January 2010.
