Seattle Monorail Tours To Benefit WestSide Baby
June 6, 2013
The Seattle Center Monorail is partnering with WestSide Baby, a local nonprofit, to collect diapers for WestSide Baby’s annual Stuff The Bus diaper drive.
Bring a package (or case!) of diapers for local children in need and receive a FREE tour of the Seattle Center Monorail! The most needed sizes are 4, 5, and 6. You must register for this event – space is limited to 25 people per tour.
To register for a tour, please visit the registration page.
WestSide Baby is an incredible Seattle nonprofit that provides essential items to local children in need by collecting and distributing diapers, clothing and safety equipment such as car seats and cribs. In 2012, WestSide Baby served over 22,000 children.
The tour will cover the historical significance of the trains, the Monorail’s place in the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, a behind the scenes look inside the maintenance facility and technical aspects of how the trains work.
Monorail tours are being offered at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm. You must select a date and time to attend in order to register. The tour is intended for adults and families with children ages 5 and older. The tour will begin on the Seattle Center Monorail Platform (located adjacent to the Space Needle and Armory). The tour will last approximately 40 minutes.
We hope you’re able to join us for a fun tour of the Monorail while supporting a wonderful local nonprofit in the process! This year, WestSide Baby’s Stuff The Bus goal is to collect over 250,000 diapers! Let’s help them reach their goal!
