Here is a list of some of the celebrations taking place to ring in the New Year!
- Space Needle’s SkyCity Soiree: At 8:00 PM, enjoy a delicious six-course dinner with live piano music and a champagne toast at midnight! Dancing on the Observation Deck until 1:30 AM.
- Observation Deck Dance Party: At 9:00 PM, enjoy dancing, desserts and a champagne toast at midnight at the O-Deck with DJ Michelle Myers from KEXP. The Space Needle’s fireworks display is absolutely stunning!

On December 31. 2013, the Monorail will be open until 1:00 AM for the New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Space Needle. Due to regulations, the Monorail will carry its last passengers from Westlake Center to Seattle Center at approximately 11:15 PM. We will resume service from Seattle Center to Westlake Center once we receive the ‘ALL CLEAR’ from the Fire Marshall (estimated to be 12:20 AM) – from this point we will carry passengers until 1:00 AM.
The Seattle Center Monorail will reopen on New Year’s Day (January 1, 2014) from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Children 12 and under can ride the Monorail for free from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on New Year’s Day.
